“While working in the Mexican orphanage, Elledge was impressed with its employees, who devote their lives to serving others in need. Back in Dallas, he plans to tutor English as a Second Language students and work with the homeless downtown. He says he tries to follow Albert Einstein’s words: ‘Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.’
‘My experiences have changed my thinking about jobs and employment,’ he says. ‘I thought about going to law school, but now there are a lot of alternatives I never considered before.’”
Orphanage Experience Covered in the Frisco Star

“The simple life of working hard was more relaxing than any vacation could have been after a long year of school,” he said. “Next year I’d like to go back again for a week just to visit all the kids.”
“Happiness is not found in money or reputation n it’s just being content,” he said. “If you feel like you’re having a bad day, just be grateful for showers with clean water and sleep without flies on your face.”
“I had never included living in Mexico with your family and running an orphanage as a career, but if that is a career, my options might be broader than I thought,” he said. “I have a desire to help people and to use my talents to the utmost while I live.”
